The IT Job Market is still defying the Financial Crises
The financial crisis is starting to have a negative impact on economic growth. At present the Swiss job market is still sound, although a regression is foreseeable. Switzerland is faced with a recession. The economic research centre of the ETH of Zurich (KOF) has recently corrected their prediction of economic growth downwards. In June the research institute still predicted a growth of the real gross domestic product (GDP) by 2 percent this year and by 1.8 percent the following year. By now the KOF only assumes a growth of 1.9 percent for the current year and 0.3 percent for the coming year.

Job markets usually have a delayed reaction to their macroeconomic environment. At the moment chances are still good, but a worsening of the situation is looming ahead.
